Wild Iris


The Wild Iris (Iris missouriensis) is one of the first wildflowers to bloom in spring. It grows on its own stalk, often isolated in a meadow or with a few companions. It likes a moist, foothills, environment but may hang around long after its little micro-swamp has dried up.
