Jones Pass near the Winter Park Ski Resort in Colorado is a large bowl filled with clouds and sun. Backcountry skiers can ride up in a snow cat while dare devils on snowmobiles race dangerously up the side walls. I snowshoed the area last winter and it was delightful.

Hi Sylvia, I'm just beside you in the Skywatch list! Time for bed for me, but I guess you're still in the middle of your day.
ReplyDeleteAll that snow! And all that sun! Not a common combination for us. I am still longing to try snowshoeing.
Gorgeous photo! Must have been spectacular in real life!
ReplyDeleteWhat an inviting scene! Beautiful shot. I love the idea of snow shoeing too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot! It is a pretty scene.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. It's been years since I've made it to Winter Park. We've had almost no snow down here on the Front Range, not even on the Palmer Divide.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful burst of light over the snowy landscape!
ReplyDeletesweet scenery! love the shadows and the lighting here. btw, nope, i didn't use any filter for my sunset photo. just got lucky with the timing :)
