Snowy Sunrise

Sunrise on Feb 11, 2009. The sky was so dramatic, I ran into the building to grab my camera. Believe it or not these colors are muted because by the time I slide over the ice, and ran outside again, the sun was just peaking above the horizon.

For more photos of the sky, check out Skywatch Friday

  5. Oooooh that's great! I know what you mean about how fast the view changed. The sunrises and sunsets change so quickly in Colorado.

  8. Sylvia, to answer your friend's question I live near Winnebago, Illinois which is about 10 miles west of Rockford. It's a typical Midwestern farm community. Beauty of course is in the eye of the beholder. I wouldn't compare our scenery to anything in Colorado. Flat land, lots of crop, farms that were once very prosperous but are now declining rapidly. Thanks for paying me a visit.
