Sunrise on Feb 11, 2009. The sky was so dramatic, I ran into the building to grab my camera. Believe it or not these colors are muted because by the time I slide over the ice, and ran outside again, the sun was just peaking above the horizon. For more photos of the sky, check out Skywatch Friday
Oh my gosh..the colors are amazing. I just noticed you About Me section and you became what I wanted to be when I was growing up...an oceanographer...I didn't even come close..special education teacher..LOL...Michelle

I think you captured the scene at just the right time. Lovely winter photo.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect. Happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteOooooh that's great! I know what you mean about how fast the view changed. The sunrises and sunsets change so quickly in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning shot, super capture of all those incredible colors. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful glowing colors.

Ou, how wonderfull!!!!
ReplyDelete'a stage set' was the first thought that came into my mind. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSylvia, to answer your friend's question I live near Winnebago, Illinois which is about 10 miles west of Rockford. It's a typical Midwestern farm community. Beauty of course is in the eye of the beholder. I wouldn't compare our scenery to anything in Colorado. Flat land, lots of crop, farms that were once very prosperous but are now declining rapidly. Thanks for paying me a visit.
